Our thought of process and brainstorming

Me and my group started off by deducing the most relevant and important facts about our band. Some of those being, the distribution company for our band, how it came to be famous, and the different platforms used to gain popularity. The distribution company was an easy step in our brainstorming, we looked through various popular distribution companies in 2020 and found a couple companies which distribute heavy metal that sparked our eyes. Nowadays people can get famous in a matter of days due to the various social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter), so we figured what made people be interested in our music was going to be a circulating video of one of our songs on social media. It's most definitely a hard genre to find information on, but me and my group managed to learn a lot through our brainstorming.

Challenges we encountered

We quickly moved through the brainstorming stage of our project due to the fact we were all learning about this genre of music as we worked and discussed the topic . Perhaps the most challenging  part of our brainstorming was to find proper/relevant  information on the genre and distribution of heavy metal music. There's definitely a decently large community for heavy metal, but we didn't know were to start looking. Besides what I mentioned we were efficient and decisive while brainstorming as a whole.

The next steps for our project

A very important upcoming step will be to discuss the filming of our music video. Story boarding will most definitely help with this part since we can visualize what we plan on doing for our music video. Choosing the proper angles, editing, and mise en scène will ensure a music video that is relevant to the story/lyrics of our song. This can be done by examining various heavy metal music videos and adapting them to our song. The techniques used are very important since its a very specific genre of music. Last thing we have to do is make sure the video will be appealing to the watcher, that way we can truly hook an audience that will appreciate our genre.
